Let’s imagine a slender collection of forms that stretch toward the marina in one direction and the sky in the other, like stems gathered in a vase. Each tall form opens on all sides toward a collection of gardens and wild places: ravines, waterfalls, courtyards and pocket parks among them. Loosely stacked volumes at the edges of these forms — closest to nature — are filled with patients and their families, medical care teams, and researchers: all human encounters and activities spilling out into diverse green microclimates that change as the towers climb.
