LANDSCAPES OF THE LINE

This project is so large that landscape design fails, in favor of terraforming. The massive and majestic undeveloped area around The Line is like the surface of Mars, so the question was, how can it be revitalized, reforested, so as to foster new life.

Our approach was to develop discrete zones rather than large swaths, starting slow. These zones included saltwater marshes, banded agriculture, deep dark cisterns, psychedelic spirals, and artificial research mountains.
